In spring 1979 Colburn Cox Stuart, Superintendent of Schools at McGehee, Desha County, Arkansas from 1941-1945, compiled a short booklet entitled, “Inside View Japanese American Evacuee Center at Rohwer, Arkansas 1941-1945.” The booklet was reprinted in March 2000 by the Clarion Publishing Company in Dumas, Arkansas. The editorial committee was Mrs. Hilliard Stroud, Mrs. Robinson C. Tutt, Mrs. Jim Merritt, and Judge Jim Merritt. A copy of that booklet can be downloaded here as a .pdf.
